White Sox take first two of series with Tigers

October 3rd, 2009 | by kletus25 |

The Minnesota Twins should send the White Sox something if both teams were to win tomorrow.  The White Sox took the first two games of their season ending series versus the Detroit Tigers by scores of 8-0 on Friday and 5-1 on Saturday night.  The White Sox, a team playing for next season, is showing that they have more to lose right now than the Tigers do.  Everything thig comes down to tomorrow afternoon.  The Twins can find out if they are playing to win the division or playing to force a playoff by doind some score board watching.  The White Sox play the Tigers at 1:05 PM EDT which is a full hour before the Twins take on the Royals in the finale of both teams as well.  For the White Sox, John Danks goes for win number fourteen on the season while the Tigers send their ace Justin Verlander to save them from having to eith play the Twins in a one game playoff for the AL Central, winning the Central Outright and missing the playoffs all together.  The White Sox need to continue their play on offense and defense to continue to be a thorn in the side of the TIgers.  Tomorrow should be fun.
